Held on December 21 and 22, the tournament saw the participation of 12 teams classified into four groups. A total of 21 matches were played. The teams of Dinesh Lakhani and Varun Lakhani met in the grand finals.
Varun, chief of Kiran Jewels (India), and his team emerged as victors in the friendly game. Varun’s team excelled in bowling, batting and fielding. “They [team members] came together for this tournament,” the team captain said, noting that the players displayed excellent sportsmanship and teamwork, and implemented an effective strategy.
According to Kiran, the tournament provided its staff with the opportunity to network with their colleagues from various departments, and to promote fellowship, commitment and teamwork.
“This is more than just about winning or losing. It is about [the Kiran family] spending time together, knowing each other better, and performing to the best of our abilities to attain a set of common objectives,” Dinesh said.
